Hello!
I have good news and bad news: The bad news is that the next chapter update is a bit delayed. I've undertaken a bigger ( and more personal) game project, which means I've had to sideline this one quite a bit.
The good news is that I'm still stickin' with this project, despite it being an emotionally (and financially) draining leech! EVEN despite living under the constant (and perhaps irrational) fear that BHVR will see this little pet project and crack my skull with the cease and desist hammer!
But in other news…
Announcement!
I intend to commission new cover art for the game! If you've been around since the demo, you might've noticed how many times I've redone the start screen… Well, I'm still completely unsatisfied with it, and that's going to change!
The new cover art will (hopefully) arrive with the next chapter update. It will feature one very special Wanderer, with their buddy Bastion. And it won't be just any Wanderer!

Don't worry about the delay! I can only imagine how much work you put into every update, so I just find it admirable that you manage to work on this at all lol Love this game (and Bastion, as expected) and will definitely check out your other project, too. Please take care of yourself and don't feel pressured to update quickly, just keep going at whatever pace you're comfortable with atm ^^
Also, this is Cyrus who is still desperately waiting for his chance to see a sunrise with our resident shadowy being and unfortunately starting to realize that just waiting around for it is not going to work. Here's to hoping it'll be more than just a fantasy but until then yay to escapism! XD

Thank you! ~ You'll get a lot more time with Bastion, trust. And, currently, the list of romanceable characters are:
Claudette, Kate, Yui, รlodie, Jake, David, Dwight, Felix, Bastion, and two secret romance options who haven't been introduced yet (they're both male.)
As much as I'd love to make every character romanceable, it's not practical in the long run, haha. 'Had to put together a short list of favorites.

It's a favorite of mine but regardless I am excited for both the new chapter and the new project if you end up posting it! Whatever the creator enjoys will be something I enjoy so if this does end up becoming something that is more stressful than it is enjoyable, I for one am okay if you decide to end its progress. Hope your writing goes well!
I enjoy writing this, even if it is a l'il stressful sometimes. And as long as my readers don't mind atrociously slow updates while I work on other things, then I've no problem continuing it. Thank you! ๐ <3

So, I guess I'm throwing my hat into the ring, here's my sarcastic dumbass gremlin of a Wanderer. As you can see, her character quote reflects her personality lmao, it's a dumb quote but it's exactly the type of "wisdom" my MC would oh-so-helpfully disperse. ๐ Did I mention already how much I love the sarcastic dialogue options and the banter with Bastion when you pick those, lol? Safe to say him and my MC have already bonded over their morbid sense of humour lmao, I already mentioned one of my fave lines in my first comment but the other scene I found fucking hilarious was when you can ask Bastion if the Clown was full of confetti. ๐๐
Oh! And since I forgot to mention this in my first comment, but I really loved how there was a specific journal entry because of my Wanderer's appearance! I'm referring to the one where the MC says that they overheard the other survivors calling them a punk and that they're trouble, and in my case my MC wondering if it's because of her blue hair and choker. I thought it was so awesome that there was something referencing and reflecting my MC's appearance storywise so early on in the game, I totally wasn't expecting it and I thought it was so cool when I read that journal entry! โค๏ธ Also, at first I was gonna give her good ole dark brown eyes, but I couldn't help myself from giving her the piercing, unsettling red eyes, lol. Hey, it's the Entity's realm, anything is possible! ๐๐
Sounds like Bas' and Frankie might be the best of friends by the end of this, lol. She's a woman after his own heart <3
And I didn't think anyone would actually notice the punk journal entry! It's cool seeing people touch on the small things I snuck in there <3 The great thing about defining each physical trait as a variable is that I can sprinkle in those immersive little references all throughout the story!

Lol, I 100% definitely got the vibe that Frankie and Bastion will either end up as best friends or in a romance! ๐ They click way too well lmao, not sure if I should be concerned or happy, or a mix of both? ๐ I didn't realise that Frankie would end up clicking so well with him when I was deciding what kind of character to make for the game, but I'm quite pleased it turned out this way, since I really enjoy him as a character, haha.

And well, I most certainly noticed the journal entry, and definitely wanted to make sure I mention it because it was a really cool little detail! ๐ Thank you again for all your hard work and for bothering to put little flavour text like that in the game, it's awesome. I'm pretty sure I also remember seeing some flavour text if the MC is wearing the sunglasses lol, I don't remember the exact details and dialogue since I played like a month ago, but I do remember being quite amused by it, haha. I think it was maybe Bastion that said something about them? ๐ค But anyway yeah, the point I'm trying to make is that I definitely notice small stuff like that and am grateful you have such an attention to detail, it's very cool. ๐

Not that I don't enjoy the game but... it sounds like you don't? Given that you're making zero money off this I wouldn't want you to feel obliged to continue.
My negativity is mostly a joke! Of course, I do worry all my time on this game will end up wasted if BHVR does ever decide they don't like what I'm doing here, but I do enjoy writing it for the most part <3 Interactive fiction is my passion, and I'm heavily invested in the little story I've created :>
